Meditation trains one to be able to turn within to experience clarity. One of the great benefits of meditation is being able to find one’s path in life. When one has touched on one’s inner guidance then one is able to proceed in life with courage, clarity and self confidence.

That is not the goal though it my be a by-product for some.
